To be able to take great wildlife and animal photographs you are required to have a lot of patience and dedication as well as knowledge of wildlife behavior.

Every image may take days of waiting. Beautiful pictures can be made by a combination of patience, concentration, luck, the right equipment and knowledge.
A 300mm is the minimum length tele lens.

On Safari On safari in Africa, the best pictures will be shot early in the morning or later in the evening for the simple fact that the animals tend to be most active at these times of the day.
• Once you or guide locates and animal, concentrate, keep your eyes to the camera and constantly check focus until the animal moves into the right position for the right shot.
• Do not drive into places that you cannot drive out fast from them.
• Wild animals move fast and some are very dangerous. Use fast film or a fast lens if possible (f2.8 is recommended) that can be used hand held.
City/Town If you cannot afford to travel to Africa or the Amazon jungles, be aware that there is an incredible amount of wildlife around the place you live.
In your own very garden you can find a good challenge to photograph. Take the opportunity to shoot pictures of the local wildlife and domestic animals. To get the best results be single minded about which variety of animals you wish to photograph. Then determine the best location, season and the time of the day to shoot.
• Let the animal to settle down and never frighten it.
• Never get between an animal and its food.
• Choose clothes to blend into the scenery and if necessary, put a camouflage netting over your head.
• Cover shiny equipment with black tape
• When wandering in the country, scan the horizon with the binocular.
• When shooting in the zoo or marine, find out the feeding times or displays.
• In an animal show, watch it once without taking photographs and look for the best point of view, then go again and shoot it.
• Build a portable hiding tent to get closer to a shy animal or bird.
• Be prepared for long wait and wear clothes according to the weather and take food and drink
