A workshop of professional photographer tips on how to learn and study photography and to take a better images, photos and pictures with your camera. There is a saying about photographers that "they start by loving the toy and end loving the art of the light in the photography" Here you can learn in six simple steps how to become a professional photographer and get small tips on how to photograph a better pictures, images and photos! Almost all amateur photographers start in photography because of the magic of using the camera and all the photography accessories and gear that goes with it. It is the perfect toy. Who doesn't love holding a camera and looking through a it and playing with the buttons pressing the shutter button to freeze a moment in life. Many of us would have seen published images in travel magazines and thought to themselves, it would be great if I could take a photo like that. In this article I will explain to you the few steps to becoming a better photographer and hopefully one day to publish your very own images. Step 1. Photograph all the time and a lot The most important thing about photography is the more you photograph the more experienced you become in choosing the right composition, becoming familiar with light direction light meter reading and white balance setting on your digital camera but above all, to master your camera system so that you can react to a photography opportunity with no hesitations and in an efficient way. Step 2. Constantly look and analyze other photographers work By analyzing newspapers, magazines, photography books and exhibitions of all kinds especially in the photography field that mostly interests you, you will develop your eye and guide your mind to capture the right look of an image when it comes your way. Try to analyze what the photographers objective was and what was his way to shoot that particular image. Try to think how you would take the same task and what kind of camera lenses would you use to capture that same image. This practice can build up your confidence and knowledge without spending any money on it. You are taking the photo in your mind only. Step 3. Know your photography equipment and photography gear It is very important to know about all the photography functions the possibilities and limitations of your photography equipment and camera gear. The more you know the more you can achieve and create with it your art by taking better images. My advise to you is to read all the manual books that came with your camera gear and try to get any technical photography books from the library especially in the photography field that you are interested in mastering. For example if you like nature photography read about the best camera in the market and the best telephoto lenses around, how to camouflage yourself and your equipment so you can get closer to the animals you are documenting and find out what set of clothing is best to wear for that assignment. Step 4. Photograph what you like You can start in photography your favorite hobby, for instance, if you like food and cooking, shoot images of yourself making it and your tasty food. You never know, maybe a food magazine would be interested in buying that image off you. Some great photos have been taken by people that have been familiar with the subject e.g.. frog specialist. To be a good photographer you must know as much about your world and the world as you possibly can. Step 5. Give yourself an assignment Choose a photo essay on a local assignment in a topic you are interested in and the local society is interested in. For example, an opening of a new plant in your town that is causing pollution. By visiting around it and meeting the employees, interviewing them and taking some photos you can end up publishing your article in the local paper, internet news or a magazine. Remember to keep listening the radio and keep updating your knowledge, develop your endurance and your curious personality to be able smell news when it comes near you. Step 6. Try a photography course If you are attracted to the historic part of photography and are willing to learn about it, it might be better to join into a local photography society club or if you are very serious about it, try to build a good photography and art portfolio and try your luck in an art school or even university. There you can expand your knowledge about the art and experience and learn more photography skills with close guides from photography tutors and lectures. I wish you a great journey to becoming a photographer. Whatever your starting point may be remember that above all the key to your success in your demanding field is to keep photographing with your eye all the time and wherever you go! After all the surrounding world is constantly changing and it is up to us the photographer to capture the glory of creation all the time.
